It’s been 3 years since I got into the Youtube vortex. In the beginning, because everything was so new to me, I love every Youtuber I follow, their beauty hauls, makeup tutorials, monthly favorites – just to name a few of the classic beauty videos on Youtube.
But there comes a point you just get bored of things that are always the same or like everything else you’ve seen. In the Youtube world, that means watching Youtubers describing every product as “so so so good” or “AMAZING!” over and over again. Some Youtubers are just so mindful of what’s trendy and what kind of videos are popular that their own characters slowly disappear.
I am not trying to undermine anybody’s hard work. Making videos and blog posts do take a lot of time and effort. But for me personally, I lost interest in whoever that put a mask on to please the internet or got a beautiful face but nothing to say. So about a year ago, I stopped following some Youtubers and kept only a few that never lost sight of who they are and are truly inspiring to me. Here are 3 of them.
My absolute favorite youtuber, in my heart nobody can replace her. You can see I have a real girl crush on Estee. She is so cool and hilarious (oh boy she can make me laugh) , but in her own unique way, she does not try to be like anyone else, to be trendy. She always speak from the heart and does not hide who she is in front of the camera – I have seen her moment of weakness, her bare face with no makeup on, her weird obsession with pickled turnips, and her hot boyfriend Aslan!
Estee’s videos covers beauty, fashion, books, stationary , food, interior, and even her life crisis. She also has a vlog channel together with her boyfriend. Their videos always make me crack! #CoupleGoals
Some of my favorite videos:
*Estee has a new book coming out called Bloom about how she becomes who she is today. You can pre-order it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0147530733/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Anna is like a big mama to me ( Sorry Anna, I know you are not even 30). It’s just she taught me so much – how to do organize my life, do meal plans, stay fit and motivated; she even has a playlist of videos on how to start a blog/youtube channel. She is so down to earth and always give genuine opinions. You can learn something from each of her videos/blog posts.
P.S. She is the most dedicated youtuber/blogger I’ve ever seen -2 videos a week and one blog post every day! Seriously how do you do that Anna! (She get up everyday at 5:30am though…).
Some of my favorite videos & posts:
I was drawn to Claire first because she suffers from acnes as well and had many great suggestions on products. It was later then I discovered her stunning style and amazing makeup skills. Claire is a perfectionist. So she does not do posts/videos as often as others do, but each one is a piece of artwork that is just ….ahhhhhhhhhh~
She also do a lot of vlogs. You should definitely check them out. They are so fun to watch. She never restrain herself from cursing on camera (with the beep sound of course)!
